| Team GB Olympic Football Squad & Fixtures – Beckham and Giggs in the frame! by Matt Hodder(166) ![]() With the London 2012 Olympic Games less than 100 days away, speculation is rife regarding who will be playing in the Team GB Men’s Football team. GB boss Stuart Pearce will name a squad of 18 players, plus four reserves for the tournament which is aimed at developing young talent. This is evident in the requirement that 15 of the players must be 23 years of age or younger, with space for 3 over age players. Team GB kick-off their Olympic campaign on Thursday 26 th July at Old Trafford, Manchester. England Squad Options for Euro 2012 – Terry, Ferdinand, Rooney included? by Matt Hodder(166) ![]() Since Roy Hodgson was appointed England manager on 1 st May, 2012, speculation has been rife as to who the new boss will select when he names his squad for the European Championships. The tournament is being jointly hosted by Poland and Ukraine and will begin on Friday 8 th June, when hosts Poland kick-off against Greece in Warsaw. England’s first group game will be against France on Monday 11 th June in Donetsk. They will then go on to face Sweden in Kiev on the 16 th June and finish the group stage against co-hosts Ukraine on 19 th June, again in Donetsk, with Hodgson hoping it won’t be England’s last game of the tournament.
