Will Tiger Woods Ever Be as Good a Golfer as He Once Was?

Tiger Woods was once the face of golf, every man wanted to golf like him and in general be him. Why not, arguably the best golfer in the world, wealth beyond most of our imaginations, beautiful wife, it looked like the perfect life. All that changed however, and now many are asking will the old Tiger ever return? There are many cases and arguments that say no, he will not. He has just recently fired one of his good friends and caddie, he has had to undergo surgery on his leg and knee multiple times and age is not on his side. He obviously seems distracted, although no one will ever know if this is true or not, except for Tiger. The arguments that I am going to list below outline why I think Tiger will return and what we can expect from him in the future.
Sure he has lost what some consider to be the one of the best caddies out there. Will this affect Tiger? Probably not Tiger is well, Tiger, one of if not the best golfer ever. When he is out on the course he doesn’t need a whole lot of help out there. Mark O’Meara suggested this after the first round of the Senior British Open and I couldn’t agree more.
Phil has won 3 majors since he turned 35... And Tiger is still ahead of Jack's pace. He will break the record assuming he stays somewhat healthy. It would be a shame to see the greatest golfer in our lifetime, Tiger, cut short due to injury.
It should also be pointed out that Tiger has been there before, he knows what to do, how to do it and where to find the people who can help him do it. Sure there are many bright and upcoming stars, but they have never been in the spotlight as much as Tiger or any other professionals who have won a major. When Tiger comes in charging on a Sunday is black hat and red shirt, they will be intimidated, mark my word.
There are many cases to be made for and against Tiger making a historic come back and breaking the record of 18 majors. I’m sure someone could just as easily write an article saying why he will never be the same. However, with what I have laid out before I would be willing to bet we haven’t seen the last of him and can look forward to many more Sundays watching him lift another trophy.
