2 Simple Exercises That Will Improve Your Golf Game

Have you ever noticed all those young pros coming up on the golf tour and the one thing they have in common?  Heck, look at most players on the PGA tour and the majority of them are all physically fit and in pretty good shape.  I think it is safe to say that there is a direct correlation between your physical fitness and how well you play the game.

I mean think about it, the more physically fit you are the better you will feel out on the course.  Theoretically a fit golfer should be able to walk around all 18 holes on the course with either their golf bag on their back or in tow from a cart.  Your golf stance and swing will be much better as well because you won’t be so tired and lazy which will ultimately help you keep your form.  The better your endurance, the better you will play on the last couple of holes.  In this article I discuss several exercises that every golfer who is serious about improving their game should do.  Some techniques I used constantly others are from friends who swear by them.  I encourage you to read the rest of this article and try implementing these techniques for yourself.  I guarantee you will see a difference out on the course.

A golfer has to have enough core strength in order to achieve the distance for a good golf swing. Your arm muscles must be worked into good shape to be able to really put power when you whack the face of the ball.  In order to do this I recommend the following two exercises:

Ab crunchesand back extensions. These would be your initial exercises as you need to work from a rotational standpoint to strengthen your core specific to golf.

Once you’ve accomplished the above exercises, you can move on to a crunch with a twist and a back extension with a twist. This will hit your rotational strength right away.

You can then progress up to standing on your feet doing several different variations of rotational movements with a single dumbbell or medicine ball, standing upright and also in your golf posture.

When you approach your golf improvement program with a core exercise for golf, you will see your driving distance sky rocket past your playing partners!

I strongly encourage you to give them a go for yourself and I know you will see the results in no time.
